September workshop:

The alchemy of grief

A Yin yoga journey into the Metal element, the lungs and the Po spirit.

In nature, autumn truly shows us the grace of surrender. We learn that nothings lasts forever as we get to witness the beauty of decay when the leaves turn rusty red before they fall to the ground to fragment back into the soil.  The metal element in Chinese Five Element Theory represents the process of shifting from movement and growth to dormancy.

From yang to yin.

This season is inviting us to slow down and bring appreciation to the fact that we have a life! A precious, unique, magnificent life.

The Lungs are connected to the emotion of Sadness and grief. Loss and hurt humbles us, teaches us about impermanence. It brings us back to what is deeply, truly valuable to us.

It's the dance and balance between control and savoring life.

Rejecting death vs. valuing life.

The metal element teaches us to live with change and impermanence. It points us back to the courage to live life fully, in the precious coming and going of it all.

With it's durable, malleable and opaque qualities, the Metal element takes us deep into our soul longing: to feel belonging

and a part of our human mystery that leaves no one untouched:

the art of holding on and letting go.

Welcome to a 90- min Yin yoga workshop for the Metal element.

We'll explore the energetics of its related organs according to Traditional Chinese medicine, the lungs and the large intestine as well as the corresponding emotions; sadness and grief.

Weaving theory, acupressure, yin postures and somatic awareness into a practice that supports you to be nourished by your own life.

This workshop will give you:

Three acupoints to work with on your own

A complete Yin sequence that you can return to again and again

Journaling prompts to carry the practice forward

Access to the recording for four weeks
