1. COURAGE
2. SPACE & BOUNDARIES
3. FINDING STILLNESS
Together these three workshops follow a natural arc through late spring and summer. From the courage to step forward, through leaning into connection, into the gathering of your own center in the midst of the summer yang energy.
Weaving acupressure, somatic practices for nervous system support and guided meditation into a Yin journey to hold you through the fire season without burning out.

COURAGE
The Wood-Fire Bridge, where vision and heart meet.
Devotion, confidence and trusting your own path.
The wood element is connected to the organ system liver and gallbladder. Courage is an expression of wood that becomes bravery when moved with authenticity - which is a quality of the heart. This workshop is an inner exploration of the fearless act of being exactly who you are and connecting to deep inner trust.
SPACE & BOUNDARIES
The Fire Element and connecting to the Heart's truth.
Finding the balance between connection, space and boundaries.
We'll explore the paradoxes of the heart, the art of staying open and keeping healthy boundaries. You'll learn about the energetic qualities of the organs that are connected to the fire element: the heart, the small intestine as well as the pericardium and the triple heater.
FINDING STILLNESS
In this workshop we’ll explore the wisdom of Shen, the spirit of the heart. How we tend to lose the connection with our hearts when something sudden happens in life, and the ways of bringing our soul back into the body through finding stillness.
When we consciously choose to give our nervous system a break,
we are allowing our entire system to recalibrate.
Less stimulation and less information,
nothingness is the soil where somethingness can grow.

May workshop: Courage
The wood-fire bridge
Wood energy is direction, growth and emotional movement. Fire energy is connection, feeling our soul and an exploration of the energetics that occur in nature as the season shifts from Spring to Summer (in Traditional Chinese medicine: from the wood element to the fire element) and this also represents the energetic shift within us that happens every time we make a courageous act. Every time we respond to the heart’s calling and step into our lives.
Courage is being vulnerable, showing up even when we can’t control what’s happening next. Do you remember a time in your life when the actual act of courage was more important to you than the outcome? When that whisper in your heart that went louder and sparked into a clear “do it”.
So you did.
Do you remember the feeling after being courageous?
Sweet completion, a purr of satisfaction by the spirit of your heart.
And then, feeling that spark inside that's always there to lead you back home to yourself.
The wood-fire bridge asks:
What would it be like to trust your own path?

The fire element
Healthy boundaries mean discernment and integrity without losing the vulnerability of needing togetherness.
That’s a very different thing than creating isolation.
When the energetic protection of the heart is thin, you feel it. You absorb other people’s moods without meaning to. You over-give, over-explain, carry what was never yours to carry. You swing between flooding and shutting down, which is exactly what the nervous system does when it doesn’t feel safe enough to stay present.
Knowing that it’s not personal is a way to start. It’s a pattern, formed by protection mechanisms. Patterns can change. Finding balance is possible.
In this 90-minute workshop we’ll explore the paradoxes of the heart through the lens of the Fire element — the art of staying open and keeping healthy boundaries. You’ll learn about the energetic qualities of the four organs connected to fire: the Heart, the Small Intestine, the Pericardium and the Triple Heater, and how they show up in your body, your emotions and your relationships.
This is for you if you’ve ever felt exhausted by your own openness.
If you long for connection but need more space.
If you’re longing to recenter yourself.

Shen, the spirit of the Heart
The art of returning to yourself.
In the most yang time of the year, we rest into the medicine of yin.
The spirit of the heart is in Traditional Chinese medicine explained as our consciousness our soul essence. It is the part of you deep within that knows that everything will be ok, even when we're going through difficulty. It's our ultimate belonging and at te same time, our individual and unique self.
The heart constantly responds to life. And when we feel anxious, it often comes down to two things:
What if there is not enough time?
What if I am not enough?
This workshop is a homecoming for your spirit. We'll melt into deep self nourishment through energetic clearing, downregulation and being with what's present.
This practice of allowing stillness invites you to sense the subtleties of your own being, and remember that there is a place within you that is connected to the whole, always present.

Return to Yin during the most Yang time of the year
"The tranquility found in the center of all events, and the path leading to the center. The center is always there, even if we are not always there to enjoy it."
When we consciously choose to give our nervous system a break, we are allowing our entire system to recalibrate. Less stimulation, information intake, giving room for nothingness.
You must meet the outer world
with your inner world
or existence will crush you
- Mark Nepo
" The One Who Is at Play Everywhere says,
There is a space in the heart where everything meets.
Come here if you want to find me.
Mind, senses, soul, eternity – all are here.
Are you here?"
-Lorin Roche, The Radiance Sutras
In the airy space of the heart there is room to breathe, room for the self and the reflection of another.
